Pass It Along’s Special Events

Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration of Service ~ January
This event is a celebration of our uniqueness and differences and the honoring of great leaders who have embraced individuality. This event kicks off a week of service projects in honor of Dr. King. To participate in this celebration please email sue@passitalong.orgor to sponsor this event monetarily, please email diane@passitalong.org.

PromenAide  ~  February
A drive is held to collect gently used prom dresses. The dresses will be made available to girls who need help with the expense of prom night through UpTown Girl dress shop. To donate a dress, email sue@passitalong.org.

Pass It Along Concert  ~  February
A fundraiser to help create awareness of Pass It Along and our programs. All proceeds raised are used to support our programs. If you would like more information about this event or would like to buy tickets, please call the Pass It Along office at 973-726-9777.

A Gathering in the Vineyard ~ June    
Major fundraiser which is a celebration of the accomplishments gained throughout the year and the vision of what is yet to come! Proceeds support programming throughout the year.

National Youth Service Day  ~  April

Serve-A-Thon ~  May
This is a day of widespread community service projects throughout Sussex, Warren and Northern Morris Counties. Areas of service include painting, landscaping, cooking, yard work, and many other projects. Burt Brazill Memorial Basketball Tournament  ~  May
This fundraiser secures funds for the Burt Brazill Memorial Scholarship.  For more information about this event, please call our office at 973-726-9777.

Burt Brazill Memorial Scholarship ~ June
This scholarship is offered to all seniors of any academic level who have been involved with community service. Applications are available through high school guidance departments as well as the Pass It Along office starting in late January through March. Service in the Sun ~ August
Three consecutive evenings of community service projects set up for high school students to participate in around the Sussex County area. For more information, please email kelly@passitalong.orgor to sponsor the event monetarily, please email diane@passitalong.org.

Golf Outing ~ September

Field of Hope ~ September
This project was created after 9/11 by teens that were looking for something positive to do in the wake of such a tragedy. Items are collected at football games and then distributed to organizations and individuals in need. Youth Conference ~ September
This is a major event planned by the Youth Council and attended by area high school students to learn about service and the issues affecting their community. This event is an excused day of absence from school and each area high school sends a delegation of students to hear from inspirational speakers and participate in onsite service projects. Walk-A-Thon ~ October
This event is a fundraiser which supports programming throughout the year. It is held at the Sussex County Fairgrounds. For more information please email kelly@passitalong.orgor to sponsor this event monetarily please email diane@passitalong.org.

Note in a Coat ~ November
Collection and distribution of coats to those in need. Notes of inspiration are written and placed into the pocket of each coat that is collected through the coat drive and then distributed through different avenues, such as the Holiday Toy Shop and Christmas Around the County, to those in need. Toy Drive ~ November
New toys are collected throughout the tri-county area for families in need. All items collected will be distributed during the Holiday Toy Shop and Christmas Around the County held in December. Holiday Toy Shop ~ December
A Toy Shoppe created by Pass It Along that is open to families in need throughout the area, providing gifts for children and gently used coats and clothing for the entire family. In addition, families are given a tray of home baked cookies and wrapping paper. There is an additional area for children to shop and pick out gifts for their parents.
