In Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Pass It Along will be holding our annual Celebration of Service.

We will be taking a bus to Snyder High School in Jersey City where we will join Jersey Cares and 300 other volunteers from Jersey Cares for their project to create fundamental and dramatic change at the school. Project options include painting inspirational murals in the hallways, cafeteria and gymnasium. Volunteers also have the option of creating MLK themed crafts for children. The crafts created will promote values that Dr. Martin Luther King fought for like tolerance, social justice and respect for diversity. The day of the service will be to strengthen community ties and create a welcoming learning environment for the students of Snyder High School.

The project ends at 12PM and we should arrive at Our Lady of the Lake by 1:30PM.

A Dinner for a King will also be held as we gather as a community for a dinner and discussion led by slam P.O.E.T Ibrahim Sadiq, followed by a musical celebration. Musicians performing will be Tom Askin, the band Sam Hill Road, Geoff Doubleday and more.
